elcome to the Verberne family website. This web site is about the branch of Verberne's originating from the Dutch island of Texel, located in the north-west of Holland.
This Texel Verberne branch has it's roots in Noord-Brabant, situated in the south of The Netherlands.
ear visitor...
It's been a few years since my latest changes. Like you I've been very busy with other responsiblities. But besides this I've had some major problems with my website hosting provider. Ultimately the only solution was to move the entire site to another hosting provider. Since this has happened, I'm finally able to communicate to you once again.
Unfortunalety the feedback form isn't working anymore so please use the guestbook instead.
I have planned to restyle and redesign the site completely, however this is quite time consuming. As far as time permits I'll be working on this.

he Texel island Verberne branch originates from Noord-Brabant, the centrally located province of the three southern provinces in the Netherlands.
acob Jansen Verberne, born around 1664, Noord-Brabant moved to Texel around 1700. On July 22 1722, on the island of Texel, his son Jan Jacobs(baptised in 1695/96, 27-01-1767 Den Burg, Texel) sold real-estate in Noord-Brabant on behalf of his parents. This document was signed on August 10, 1722 in Lierop, Noord-Brabant. Check out the copy of the original handwritten document stating this transaction.
f you're not very familiar with the Dutch geography and would like to find out where your forefathers lived in Holland? Just check out the old silk map (1830) in the appendix. You'll find Texel in the North West and Noord-Brabant in the Southern part of the Netherlands.
f you have additional information and/or corrections or perhaps you want me to extend the familytree with your branch, just send me the relevant data in Gedcom format.
Since I only happen to have a photocopy of the book 'Texelse Geslachten
II' the quality of these images is very poor. If you happen to have
a copy of this book and are willing to assist, please send me
computer scanned copies of these images.
